Marino Santi was born in 1967 in Murano in a famous glass-workers family. He started to work in 1985 in different furnaces in Murano playing different tasks. The contact with important masters as Scarpa, Geremia, Orfeo allowed Marino to learn different techniques regarding the processing of glass. In 1970 he emerged as master thanks to his peculiarity: very thin hand-blown glass. Master's ability may be observed in the chalices Marino realized. Master sensitive to technical developments but he remains linked to his specialty: the creation of hand- blown glasses. Today Master Santi works at the Eugenio Ferro & C. 1929 furnace.
